This is now the somewhat legendary story of the Christmas Special circa 1978 that George Lucas did which among other things showed Han Solo and Chewie smooching, and featured Chewbacca extended family, wife, son, uncles and aunts.
Apparently bootleg copies are available on DVD if you go to the right Sci Fi conventions, but do beware the eternal April Fool that comes round pretty much every year saying 'George Lucas has relented and has decided to issue the show on special edition DVD.'
This April fool was first circulated in the late 80's and promised a special edition Video and was repeated this year with a special edition gold-plated DVD.
